Painting realized by the artistic workshop of Lo Scrigno di Santa Chiara using oil pastels on Amalfi handmade paper.

This work depicts one of the characteristic streets of Amalfi in the labyrinth of its suggestive historical alleys.

This view is located behind the main square and is one of the openings that go beyond the foundations of the cathedral.

The artist, thanks to a good use of proportions and chiaroscuro, perfectly frames the feeling of a doorway to an unknown darkness.

On the left side of the painting, the lower part of the cathedral, where the old Amalfi prisons were once located.

A strong artistic result with strong colors, which stops on paper the magic of walking in the delicate atmosphere of the coastal town.

The painting is dated 2020 and bears the original signature of the author in the lower right corner.
